Before the busyness of September begins, all ages are invited to gather for a multigenerational service at the Hub at 38 Elm Street followed by a picnic at the home of Ann Miller, 34 Lewis Point Road in Damariscotta. During the service, we’ll bless backpacks as children and youth return to school as well as adults’ backpacks, computer bags, tote bags, diaper bags. Please bring your backpack or bag with you. This service will also introduce the new UUA worship and education program, “Woven Faith” as we weave together our needs, hopes, and gifts for the coming church year.

Following the service everyone is invited to walk or drive the 0.3 mile to a potluck picnic on the large lawn behind Ann’s home. Beverages and utensils will be provided. Please bring a dish to share and, if you want, a chair or blanket to sit on.
