Featured Entertainer
Singer/songwriter Kathi Nordone will be the featured entertainer at the Community Open Mic on Sunday, Oct. 14, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Mobius, 319 Main St., Damariscotta. Sponsored by the Midcoast Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, all ages are invited to perform.
Living in Maine for 10 years, Kathi is reaching new listeners everywhere with her original tender yet soulful songs and warm friendly voice. Most recently she performed at The Union Farmers Market, Fryeburg and Union Fairs, The Bradley Inn, Joe Lane Lobsterman’s, The Little Brown Church in Round Pond and now every Sunday at the Saint George River Café in Warren. Her most recent album “Beauty is Bigger” (Greater Than Gold) was recorded in Austin, Texas with Ace in the Hole, George Strait’s band. Her West Texas and Westchester, New York voice and songs unearth pearls of love where people are open-hearted.
Kathi is also a media artist, everything from portraits to birds. She taught color theory college classes in Austin TX, has exhibited in NYC, Texas, and at the Pemaquid Art Gallery. She grew up in Lincolndale, a hamlet (pop. 1500) in the town of Somers, Westchester County, NY.
