Opportunities for Engagement
The Midcoast Unitarian Universalist Fellowship exists for you — its members and friends. Whether you are a long-time member looking for a specific bit of information or walking in for the first time through our doors in search of a spiritual home, we are here for you, and we want your search for whatever you need to be successful. If you’re just beginning to make contact with us, engaging with the Fellowship through any of a variety of means will give you a much better sense of who we are as a Fellowship and more quickly allow us to meet your needs in your search. Coming to appreciate more deeply the ways in which we can be a supportive community for you, you will also find that your engagement is needed by the Fellowship simply in order for it to exist, not to mention thrive. A community such as ours cannot function without the active engagement of its members. There is a very real circle of mutuality that is at the core of membership.
Engagement and participation are bedrock for the meaning of “membership” in the Midcoast Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Our mission is to nurture spiritual growth, engage in justice, and build community with respect and compassion. No one element of our mission is developed or achieved without engagement in community. The Midcoast UU Fellowship, as one such community, offers an array of opportunities for meaningful growth within the contexts of spirituality, justice seeking, and respectful community building. Below, you will find a number of options and contact information to help you get to know the Fellowship’s members and friends and participate in carrying out the work of our mission. As with other social situations, what you get out of it reflects what you put in to it. Jump in to see where it takes you!
